What we Offer

Ministerial Visit to Fathers Plus Project

Part of Children North East, one of the UK’s oldest independent children’s charities, Fathers Plus operates across the U.K offering competitively priced, quality services to schools, local authorities, children’s centres, health and voluntary organisations.

Fathers Plus promotes change by offering training, resources, networks, support and advice on a national basis to organisations and agencies who wish to engage with fathers and male carers

The service runs programmes with family men and their families to demonstrate effective inclusive practice in schools, children’s centres, maternity services, prisons, youth services and other community settings. Fathers Plus' work with family men in schools and children’s centres has achieved national recognition and is cited as an example of good practice in the Sure Start Children’s Centre Guidance.

We have helped men to make positive life changes for themselves and their families and access relevant support

Hundreds of workers who have attended the practitioner networks we manage across the country say they are more likely to include men as a result.

Staff in hundreds of settings who have benefited from our training and resources now feel more able to engage positively with men.

We have influenced key local and national policies.

We have held two national events which between them attracted over 12,000 dads, male carers, children and family members.
