Fathers Plus has found that the organisations who are most successful at implementing sustainable changes in their services to include fathers and men are those that involve all levels of the organisation in the change process.

Fathers Plus' approach is to work with Senior Managers to agree a corporate approach to father inclusion that can be cascaded through the organisation via workforce development programmes. This ensures a common value base across services and enables integrated working between teams working with fathers.

With a workforce who share a common vision and have the skills and confidence to work with men, supported by managers and a local policy framework that recognises the different needs of men and women, services can be developed and improved to ensure that fathers are fully supported in their important nurturing role.

The 'permission led' model of working from Fathers Plus takes account of the importance of a whole team/whole system/whole family approach in developing inclusive services.

Over the years, the Fathers Plus service has supported a wide variety of organisations across the U.K. to build on their strengths and overcome the barriers they face in developing father friendly, inclusive services.

On these pages we will be adding information about these success stories. In the meantime if you would like to know more then leave us a message or phone the Fathers Plus team on 0845 130 7225.
