Including Fathers and Male Carers in Services: Making it Sustainable

Including Fathers and Male Carers in Services: Making it sustainable

Evidence from successful practice

This conference brought together leading organisations from across the UK that are working successfully to include and involve fathers and men in a sustainable way.

Children North East is the oldest children’s charity in the North East. Established in 1891, the organisation runs a number of community based projects and services.

Fathers Plus is one of the leading practice based father work organisations in the UK. The service works with organisations and services to support them to engage with fathers, male carers and their families.

The conference gave delegates the skills, tools and information they need to successfully begin to develop sustainable ways of working with fathers and men.

The day was split into two halves; Health and Early Years in the morning, and Parenting and Learning in the afternoon. Delegates attended either or both sessions.
