The Fathers Plus Service has been directly involved in delivering services to fathers and their families for over a decade. The service has delivered projects in settings as diverse as Sure Start Children's Centres, Primary and Secondary Schools, Universities, Prisons, Maternity Services, Youth, Teenage Pregnancy and Youth Offending services. My Dad Matters - Sunderland 2010-11

This report summarises the activity undertaken as part of the ‘Universal Male Inclusion’ programme – ‘My Dad Matters in Sunderland’ and its impact on local men, their children and families.

The project ran over 18 months and was successful in engaging over 200 men in parenting activities around sessions such as Family Man in Schools, Dads to Be, Dads on Track Parenting Programme, Dads and Teens Forest Activities and Family Man Fitness.

Also attached is the 'Men-Friendly' enrolment form that was developed for this project.

Family Man Schools Outreach Programme

The family man website and schools outreach programme aims to encourage dads and male carers to become more involved in their children’s learning in and outside the classroom.
The programme works with schools on supporting them to become more father inclusive through the offer of a fun day at school for dads.
